Who:  All Senior Adults…Prime Timers…and Gospel Music Fans.  This is an event planned especially for you! Bring your Sunday school classes, Prime Time groups, friends, and family. Church buses are welcome!

What: The Prime-Timers Celebration is a day of joyful celebration with gospel music, inspiration, and fellowships for senior adults.  The day is produced and planned by Trevecca Nazarene University, our denomination’s university in Nashville, TN.  It is hosted by Drs. Moody and Nina Gunter, Trevecca Ambassadors and is sponsored by the Trevecca Legacy Partners Program.*

Special guest gospel music artists include The Talleys and Sue Dodge.   The Talleys are the award-winning Southern gospel group whose numerous number one chart singles make them regulars on the Gaither Homecoming video performances.

Sue Dodge, a four-time Dove Award-winner, has been part of the gospel music landscape for more than three decades. A consistent, vibrant singer, whose energy on-stage is matched only by her character off-stage.
When:  Friday, February 27, 2015. Registration begins at 8:30 a.m. and the day’s events begin at 9:30 a.m. and will conclude at 3:30 p.m.

Why:  Senior adults are critically important to the university through their support with prayers, church educational budgets, and gifts. This Celebration Day brings Trevecca and its mission directly to senior adults without a trip to Nashville; allowing the university to say thank you and to share stories of the continuing mission of educating Christian servant leaders.

Your spirits will be lifted by the music of award-winning gospels artists, and your heart will be blessed by the stories from Trevecca students, alumni and President Dan Boone. All of the program will be shared in fellowship with friends new and old.

Details:  The cost of the all-day event is only $35 per person. The price is all inclusive for the program, refreshments, and lunch.

District Prime Time Day is an opportunity for seniors ages 50+ to get together for fellowship, inspiration, food and entertainment with other seniors from all over Southern Florida.

Come early for a coffee fellowship with pastries, juice, etc. beginning at 9:30 a.m. Meet our new District Superintendent, Dr. Brian Wilson, (you will like him). Be inspired and enjoy some great music. Your registration fee of $25 includes a full delicious dinner buffet with salad bar.

This year we have a double header for our program – a great speaker and a great singer. Read about them below and get your group together to go to District Prime Time Day. The date is fast approaching.

We welcome Dr. Brian Wilson, our Southern Florida District Superintendent November 16^th at 10:45 a.m. for Pastor Weller’s Installation Service. Everyone is invited to join us in the fellowship hall on the first floor, following the service for a catered dinner to celebrate this new beginning.

Our pastor, John H. Weller, grew up in Ft Lauderdale, Florida and graduated from Trevecca Nazarene University with a B.A. in both Religion and Communications. He received his Masters of Divinity with a Concentration in Christian Education from the Nazarene Theological Seminary in Kansas City, Missouri.

He is excited about the ministry God has brought him to in the Hollywood, Florida area. He is looking forward to walking along side the people of the Hollywood Church of the Nazarene as God directs.

He is a Lt. Col. Chaplain in the United States Air Force Reserves where he has served for 26 years. He has been blessed by this extension to his pastoral ministry.

Our pastor’s wife, J. Darlene Weller, grew up in Miramar, Florida and attended Trevecca Nazarene University for a year. She is looking forward to seeing and learning what God’s plan will be for her as their ministry brings them back to the Hollywood, Florida area. When time allows she enjoys doing a little gardening, crafting and reading. She especially likes spending time with her grandsons and family.
